Rating Information Breakdown for the PDO

This proposal was adopted by the PDO Board on 21 July 2009.

Game Win/Loss Points | Highlite Points

So, what is this?

Basically it's just a way for players to be rated based on their performance during matches in the PDO.

  • Each player starts with a rating and that rating is used to calculate points for each week's games.
  • You receive points based on how you play in Singles, Doubles, and Triples games, as well as the number and type of highlites you hit.
  • Each player has a rating and that rating goes up or down based on wins/loses, and the number of points is based on the other player(s) rating at the time of the game being played.
  • Singles games will be worth the most points, Doubles games 1/2, and Triples games 1/3.
  • For Doubles and Triples, each player's rating is combined with their teammates and then the average is taken to determine the difference for the amount of points to be received (+ points for winning, - points for losing)
  • Top rated playes have the change to make the ALL-STAR team and compete in special tournaments, some against other leagues in the Bay Area.
