Article I - Purpose and Introduction
Section 1:
This organization shall be known by the name of “The Peninsula Darts Organization” (hereinafter referred to as the “PDO”). The PDO shall be an accepted abbreviation of the proper name.
Article II - Membership
Section 1:
Membership in the PDO shall be open to bar owners, partnerships, corporations, or any individual participating in the game of darts, but applications for membership shall be subject to the approval of a majority decision by the current Board of Directors.

A “Member” is a person and / or Sponsor who is registered and in good standing with the PDO.
Article III - Officers
Section 1:
The Board of Directors shall consist of the officers and members-at-large.
Article IV - Nomination and Appointment of Officers
Section 1:
Nomination of new Officers shall be made at the September Board of Directors meeting the year elections are held.
Article V - Meetings
Section 1:
The Board of Directors Meeting of the PDO shall be held on the 3rd (third) Tuesday of each month (holidays excluded) unless otherwise notified. Special meetings to transact important business shall be held at the call of the President, and all Board Members shall be notified at least one (1) week prior to convening of such special meeting. A quorum is required to hold a board meeting.
Article VI - Duties of Officers
Section 1:
The President shall preside at the meetings of the Association. He/she shall enforce the bylaws of the Association. He/she shall act as ex-officio member on all committees and shall have an advisory voice, but no vote. He/she may be an elected member of any committee and shall then have full voting power. He/she shall conduct all meetings in the interest and well being of the Association. In the event of a tied vote, he/she shall cast the deciding vote. The President shall appoint such other committees, whether temporary or permanent, as are deemed necessary for the well being of the Association.
Article VII - Discipline and Expulsion
Section 1:
Any Member or Officer of the PDO who by his or her actions or any other method, jeopardizes the well-being of the PDO, shall be subject to disciplinary action by the Board of Directors up to and including expulsion from the Board and/or the PDO.
Article VIII - Amendments
Section 1:
Should any member in good standing wish to amend any Article or Section of these bylaws, the proposed amendment shall be made in writing to the Board of Directors. The amendment shall then be read at the next regular meeting. Should two-thirds (2/3) majority of the Board of Directors present vote in favor of the amendment, it shall become part of the bylaws and/or rules.
